Davies Associates Ltd. offers a wide variety of construction services to meet virtually every client need. Whether building a new building, an addition to an existing building or renovating an existing building, DAL has the project team to meet client goals. In addition to Project Management, DAL offers Construction Management capabilities allowing our clients to select the project delivery system, which best suits, their situation.

Project Management

A critical element of project management is making sure that the project gets done on schedule and within the set budgetary parameters. In order to achieve these goals, the project manager must establish clear project objectives. DAL’s experience in project management allows for ultimate responsibility over the planning, execution and successful completion of the project.

Construction Management

DAL offers construction management including planning, directing, coordinating, and budgeting a wide variety of construction projects, including the building of all types of residential, commercial, and industrial structures. DAL will schedule and coordinate all design and construction processes, including the selection, hiring, and oversight of specialty trade contractors.

Estimating

DAL offers estimating services to include;

Estimating Materials: Estimating of what materials and in what quantities required for the work.
Estimating Labour: Estimating the number and kind of workers of different skill level necessary to complete the project.
Estimating Plant: Estimating amount and kind of equipment needed to complete the work.
Estimating Time: Estimate of length of time required to complete an item of work or the work as a whole.

Scheduling

In addition to assigning dates to project activities DAL’s project scheduling, using programs such as Microsoft Project, is intended to match the resources of equipment, materials and labour with project work tasks over time. Scheduling can facilitate the timely procurement of necessary materials, and otherwise insure the completion of a project as soon as possible.

Logistics

Safe and efficient movement and supply of materials to and around the project site is at the core of our approach to logistics. With innovative, real-time project-management controls, DAL can coordinate people, equipment and materials more efficiently. DAL can do it all without affecting project quality, cost or delivery.

Procurement

DAL provides liaison between suppliers, subcontractors, and Project Director. Also providing Competitive Sourcing, Development of Procurement Strategy, Policy & Processes, and Commercial negotiation. DAL will identify potential vendors and sourcing new vendors to suit the optimum geographical location of projects.

Civil Engineering Design

DAL’s Civil Engineering Design services include; site development engineers, roadway design, transportation engineering, utility & drainage design, feasibility studies, water supply facilities design, wastewater facilities design, reuse system design, permitting, regulatory coordination and inspection services provided to public and private clients throughout the Commonwealth of The Bahamas and the Caribbean.
